Supporting local communities has always been a priority for our president, Donna Dynna. You’re likely already aware of our yearly Community Draws, which we host to give our clients the chance to win funds to support meaningful local projects. But did you know we also have an internal program that encourages our employees to participate in local events and give back to their communities? MuniSoft employees, with five years experience, are allotted one paid day a year to volunteer at a community event.

For example, this year, Carl Bond, one of our Support Technicians, used his paid volunteer hours to participate as Santa at the Canso Lions GOALS Christmas event on November 26.

The Canso Lions welcomed the GOALS clients and staff with a morning of song games and a special visit by Santa who presented each GOALS client and staff with a Christmas gift. Everyone enjoyed pizza and pop provided by the Guysborough Recreation Department. The Canso Lions also covered the cost of transportation from Guysborough to Canso. For the Lions Club, this 30-year tradition marks the beginning of the Christmas Season.
